FX dropped yet another teaser for Alien: Earth, stirring up interest again, while still keeping its cards close to the chest.
Alright, FX, I’ve got to ask—are you having a bit of fun with us? The first teaser you put out last September, with Earth reflecting in the Xenomorph’s shiny dome, was intriguing. And I’ll admit, getting a glimpse of it in Disney’s 2025 highlight reel was exciting—it showed promise. Then came another teaser that didn’t offer much more than the first but at least hinted at a summer release. And now, we’ve got this new teaser on our hands.
In this latest peek, it feels like we’re seeing through the eyes of the Xenomorph, taking us on a first-person ride as it scurries around a crashing ship. It’s unclear what’s being sought after, yet the ship seems headed for Earth—the backdrop of this upcoming prequel series. For a teaser, it’s enjoyable enough, but as the third—or fourth if you count that brief Disney preview—I’m left questioning whether this show is a myth. Supposedly, it’s landing this summer, but at this point, I need more proof. Hopefully, a full trailer will drop soon, testing my ever-thinning patience.
For those not yet familiar, the official synopsis gives us this: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.” We’re still looking at a summer release, so maybe catch up on a polished version of Alien: Romulus while we wait.
