ASRock’s latest line-up of Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards has been glimpsed online, bringing anticipation for the forthcoming Steel Legend and Taichi custom models.
A Sneak Peek at ASRock’s Impressive RX 9070 Series GPUs Before the Official Release
It looks like ASRock is gearing up to launch a robust collection of AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, specifically the Radeon RX 9070 and the RX 9070 XT. While other manufacturers haven’t released their images yet, ASRock’s GPUs have made a surprise appearance online. The reveal showcases three distinct series: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. The Taichi lineup appears to be the frontrunner with its sophisticated triple-fan setup and a substantial heatsink, which understandably makes it a three-slot card.
An intriguing detail about the Taichi model is the inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector. This particular feature isn’t standardized across all models due to AMD’s decision to let its partners decide based on each card’s power needs. Capable of supporting up to 600W of power, the Taichi version seems well-prepared for impressive specifications and overclocking potential.
Moving on to the Steel Legend variant, it’s positioned as a mid-range option by ASRock, featuring a striking white and silver design. This model also sports a 2.5-slot triple fan layout. Unlike the Taichi, it skips the 12V-2×6 connector, opting instead for a dual 8-pin setup, which is expected to be the norm for most AMD AIB models, except for a few high-end options like the Taichi.
As for when you can expect these GPUs on shelves, rumors point to the possibility of pre-orders kicking off as soon as next week, aligning with AMD’s expected timeline for the RX 9070 series roll-out.
