Back in July, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” made its debut in Early Access on Quest, kicking things off with just one mission, or ‘chapter,’ and a few blades to unlock. The developer, UNIVRS, promised more content in the months to come, and now they’ve delivered with the ‘Complete Edition’ that brings the game up to four chapters.
When we dove into it in July, I must admit it felt more like a tech demo than a complete game. Sure, the core gameplay was there, but it was confined to a single chapter in addition to an endless wave mode that came with a mandatory scoreboard.
Now, with the Complete Edition, players can immerse themselves in chapters three and four, plus the Epilogue. And they won’t want to miss the showdown with an Armored Titan boss—it’s a real highlight.
On the co-op front, there’s good news too. For the first time, you can tackle all chapters with a friend, which brings a fresh dynamic to the experience.
UNIVRS isn’t done yet, though. They’ve hinted at a ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ set to launch in January, describing it as a “global challenge.” Plus, they’ve promised a free update slated for 2025, something to keep an eye on according to the game’s webpage.
We initially found the game a bit “rough around the edges,” but it’s clearly struck a chord with fans. Right now, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” boasts an impressive 4.5 out of 5 rating on the Horizon Store.
If you grabbed the Early Access version, Part 2 will be available to you as a free download. For those just joining the adventure, you can snag Part 1 for $8, Part 2 for $12 (although owning Part 1 is a must), or bundle both for $20. The game is playable on Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro, so there’s flexibility depending on your hardware.
