Diablo 4’s Year-End Event Sends Community on a Treasure Goblin Hunt for Exciting Rewards

Diablo 4 is wrapping up a stellar year in style with an exciting community-wide event. Unlike the game’s usual live events, this one takes a collaborative approach, involving players across the board. The mission: hunt down and eliminate as many Treasure Goblins as you can while exploring the vast landscape of Sanctuary.

The “Slay Ride to Hell” event is a five-tier adventure. The more Treasure Goblins the community collectively slays, the further we all climb in the tiers. Each level reached brings reward caches for everyone, which can be collected from Goblin Square in Kyovashad. If you own a Vessel of Hatred, you’ll get extra caches as a bonus.

Mark your calendar because it all kicks off tomorrow, December 17, at 10 AM PT, 1 PM ET, and 6 PM UK time, rolling into the new year until January 2. At first glance, the event’s requirements might seem a bit daunting. However, with millions of players chipping in, progress should zoom along quite rapidly. If we hit tiers 3 to 5, the in-game shop will offer some unique limited-time cosmetics. Of course, it’s the final tier that gets everyone buzzing, thanks to the elusive Resplendent Spark reward—one of the most treasured items in the game.

Blizzard is sweetening the pot by reintroducing several live events to complement the Treasure Goblin hunt. Mother’s Blessing is back, offering extra XP and Gold from December 17 through January 2. Just like before, this bonus stacks with any elixirs and other boosters active in your battle pass.

Adding to the fun for both newcomers and returning players, the Spiritborn trial is making a comeback from December 19 to January 3. This allows anyone who hasn’t yet acquired Vessel of Hatred a sneak peek at the new class. You can experiment up to level 25 with all your progress transferring if you decide to make a purchase.

For those who’ve tried Diablo 4 before and need a nudge to dive back in, the Winback Booster might do the trick. It’s available for up to two characters in the Eternal Realm, zooming one of your characters up to level 50, unlocking all Altars of Lilith, and providing gear tailored to a specific build.
