Owlchemy Labs has some exciting news for fans of their quirky games. They’ve announced that their social game, Dimensional Double Shift, is stepping out of its open beta phase with a brand-new twist: its very first paid DLC. This update introduces players to a fresh, Texas-themed dimension.
Currently available in early access on the Quest platform, Dimensional Double Shift delivers the same playful charm the studio is known for, reminiscent of their past hits like Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator. The game plunges players into a wacky universe, where you and up to three friends can team up in an unusual venture running a combination service—both a garage and a diner. Here, you’ll find yourselves fixing cars and cooking up meals for an outlandish array of alien customers.
Enter the world of ‘Hexas’, the game’s first DLC known as the ‘Dimension Pack’. It’s a Texas-inspired playground filled with fiery landscapes, demonic visitors, gigantic meals, and mammoth monster trucks that need some serious tuning. Players can also enjoy over 50 Hexas-themed cosmetics, offering the chance to don the attire of a cowboy or transform into a desert road warrior.
Andrew Eiche, the CEO of Owlchemy Labs, shared his enthusiasm about the release, stating, “Hexas is a significant leap for Dimensional Double Shift. It reshapes the game entirely, providing players with a novel experience. For those eager to stir up some entertaining chaos with friends, Hexas brings a lot to the table. And, there’s more good news—this is just the first of many Dimension Packs to come.”
Alongside the thrilling addition of Hexas, the game now features a much-anticipated update: the ‘Room Browser’. This new tool makes it seamless for players to create and join public multiplayer sessions with their pals.
Priced at just $5, the Hexas Dimension Pack can be grabbed exclusively from the Horizon Store, available for Quest 2 and newer devices. An added perk is that only one member of your group needs to own the DLC for everyone to join in on the action.
