In Monkey Palace, there’s a tactile experience that goes beyond just the thrill of winning. Of course, we kept track of scores and thoroughly enjoyed our victories, while feeling a bit disappointed by our losses. However, the true joy came from the 3D masterpiece we crafted together. Despite the likelihood that after multiple rounds, the structures might start looking similar due to the game’s design encouraging gradual development, we still cherished the shared experience of building something as a team. Unlike many board games, I didn’t feel the urge to immediately pack everything away afterward. In fact, our latest creation still proudly sits as a temporary centerpiece on our kitchen table, a testament to our collaborative effort.
