Bloodborne has long been hailed as one of the standout titles within the Souls series, renowned for its haunting atmosphere and grotesque enemies reminiscent of creatures from an H.P. Lovecraft novel. Despite its acclaim, one gripe that consistently surfaces among fans is the absence of a smooth playing experience with enhanced frame rates.
Interestingly, Ben Starr, recognized for his role as Clive Rosfield in Final Fantasy 16, has recently added his voice to this conversation. As highlighted by GermanStrands on Twitter, Starr remarked at the Golden Joystick Awards this year, asserting that it’s a travesty not to have an official edition of Bloodborne running at 60 frames per second.
However, despite the growing calls for an updated version, it’s unlikely that this will sway Sony’s stance. Enthusiasts have been urging both Sony and FromSoftware for an enhanced edition for years. Yet, without Sony’s green light, the creators behind the Souls series remain unable to develop a new version, no matter how apparent the demand is.
