At Xbox, we believe in celebrating your passion for gaming, and we’re excited to introduce some fresh ways for you to rack up points. We’ve expanded our Quests to PC Game Pass and given Game Pass Quests a whole new look, allowing you to earn points just by indulging in your favorite pastime. Plus, all Xbox players 18 and older can now enjoy weekly rewards, giving even more opportunities to earn points during your gaming sessions.
Today, we’re bringing you an important update that aligns with our mission to create enjoyable and age-appropriate gaming environments. From now on, the ability to earn points through gameplay will be reserved for players aged 18 and above.
Game Pass Quests Are Now on PC
Formerly available only to Game Pass Ultimate members, Quests are expanding to include PC Game Pass members starting January 7. This adds more ways to collect Rewards points on your PC, alongside your console and mobile options. We’re also launching Game Pass Quests in Japan, offering gamers there the full Xbox Rewards experience.
If you’re 18 or older and a member of either Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, earning points is a breeze:
- Browse the new Quests by checking out the Rewards Hub on your Xbox profile, accessible via console, the Xbox app on mobile, and the Xbox app on Windows PC.
- Earn points by diving into the games you love on Game Pass.
- Redeem your points at the Rewards Hub.
Once you’ve gathered enough points, you can trade them in for Xbox gift cards, in-game content, donations to causes you care about, and more. Do note that a minimum playtime is necessary to earn these points. Currently, Quests are limited to titles in the Game Pass catalog and do not include PC games that require third-party launchers or are played on Battle.net. For more information, visit Xbox.com/Rewards.
New Game Pass Quests Ready to Explore
We’ve revamped Game Pass Quests to make them more intuitive and enjoyable, while also increasing the points you can earn. Whether through daily, weekly, or monthly challenges, you’re bound to find something that enhances your gaming adventure. And yes, the popular weekly streaks are back!
Here’s how Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can earn points (note that offers may vary per region and might change over time – check terms and conditions for more):
- Daily Play: Snag 10 points per day by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
- Weekly Streaks: Hit the five-day mark in a week to keep your streak alive. Longer streaks equal higher multipliers: two weeks get you 2x, three weeks 3x, and four weeks or more 4x the base points.
- Monthly 4-Pack: Each month, play four different games for at least 15 minutes each.
- Monthly 8-Pack: Challenge yourself further with eight different games each month, with the four games from your 4-Pack counting towards your 8-Pack.
New Earning Opportunities for Everyone
In addition to the exclusive Quests for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, we’re excited to introduce new ways for all players to earn points. Starting January 7, 2025, all Rewards members aged 18 and up can take advantage of the new PC Weekly Bonus. This means 150 points for playing five days a week for at least 15 minutes each day.
We’re also rebalancing points with changes to the Console Weekly Bonus, which will now be worth 150 points, and adjusting the Daily PC Play to 10 points.
Play and Earn Update
We’re committed to maintaining a positive, age-appropriate gaming atmosphere on Xbox, which is why earning Rewards points through gaming is now limited to players 18 and older. Due to this update, the Rewards Hub, previously open to all, will only be available to those 18+. However, younger gamers can still earn Microsoft Rewards points through parent-approved Microsoft Store purchases, eligible Bing searches, and other non-gaming activities such as the Microsoft Rewards Daily Set. They can manage and redeem these points at Rewards.Microsoft.com.
We’re thrilled to see what you’ll achieve with your Xbox Rewards. You’re already playing – now it’s time to start earning! For more details, visit Game Pass Quests: Play Games & Earn Rewards | Xbox or our Xbox Support page.
