Nintendo Music Expands with Additional Pokémon Tracks

Nintendo Music is giving Pokémon fans something to cheer about with the addition of the Pokemon Legends: Arceus soundtrack to its playlist. This service, run by the renowned Japanese video game publisher Nintendo, offers a treasure trove of soundtracks from its iconic game franchises. After launching in October 2024, Nintendo Music is accessible to anyone with a standard Nintendo Switch Online subscription and can be enjoyed on both Android and iOS devices by Pokémon enthusiasts.

Upon launch, Nintendo Music had a collection of 23 soundtracks, and users can craft their playlists from this growing library. The app received an update in November 2024, addressing glitches on Android and iOS for a smoother user experience. Specifically, Android users got relief from a pesky bug that previously caused startup issues, allowing fans to delve back into their favorite gaming tunes without a hitch.

The most recent addition, the soundtrack of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, arrives just before the eagerly anticipated Pokémon Day next month. Featuring 102 tracks that total over four hours of music, this soundtrack highlights everything from the serene vibes of Jubilife Village to the intense showdowns with Kleavor and the epic encounters in Dialga and Palkia battles. With this addition, it joins other fan-favorite Nintendo Music soundtracks like The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild and Super Mario Galaxy on the app.

For many, Nintendo Music represents one of the finest playlists available, alongside popular collections like Break Time and top tracks from The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time adorned by K.K. Slider performances. In addition, a slew of new soundtracks have been quietly added, such as those from Wii Sports, Super Mario 64, and Wave Race 64, expanding the app’s offerings further.

Released in 2022, Pokemon Legends: Arceus stakes its claim as part of Pokémon’s eighth generation of games. Set in the distant past of the Hisui region, this game acts as an interquel to Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, thrusting players into a quest to compile the game’s Pokedex. The adventure continues with the upcoming title, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, set for a 2025 release in the enticing Lumiose City of the Kalos region.
