After a truly chaotic week, Switch OG is returning to what we’ve reluctantly accepted as normal.
Last week’s highlights slipped under the radar with Namco gracing us with Assault Plus in the Archives. But let’s be honest, what stood out most was that wild Switch 2 Direct and the subsequent pandemonium—thanks largely to 20500. After that rollercoaster, this week’s eShop lineup feels almost nostalgic. That said, there are some gems to look forward to, like Star Overdrive, which was briefly mentioned in a previous Direct. It feels like that was ages ago, though it’s barely been a week and a half. Also hitting the eShop is Battlefield Waltz, a title from Idea Factory/Otomate that’s been localized by IFI; keep an ear out for potential day one patches. I know I will.
What’s more on the agenda? How about the "Promise Mascot Agency," a new entry from the Snow Bros. franchise, and an EggConsole game straight from 1983, a simple maze game. It appears that Pyramid Warp is a safe bet for collectors outside of Japan looking to snag it.
