Just ahead of the much-anticipated Pokemon Day, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have an exciting announcement: Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are making a comeback as Five-Star Tera Raid bosses, but only for a limited span of one week. This brief window, from February 20 to February 27, gives trainers another shot at capturing these elusive Paradox Pokemon if they missed out before.
These two Paradox Pokemon, favored among fans, are unique versions of Suicune and Virizion. Walking Wake, embodying Suicune’s past, is a fierce blend of Water and Dragon types. Meanwhile, Iron Leaves, representing Virizion’s future, combines Grass with Psychic powers. However, there’s a catch—Walking Wake is exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet, and Iron Leaves can only be found in Pokemon Violet. To fill up your Pokedex with both, trading is the way to go. The last time these two graced Tera Raid battles was back in late April to early May 2024.
With the Valentine’s Day Tera raid event wrapped up, trainers can now turn their attention to this new challenge. According to Serebii.net, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will be available as Tera Raid bosses starting Thursday evening, February 20, at 7:00 PM Eastern. They’ll remain available until the end of February 27. Walking Wake is destined for the Tera Raid dens of Pokemon Scarlet, while Iron Leaves appears in Pokemon Violet.
As Five-Star Tera Raid bosses, both Walking Wake and Iron Leaves bring not just a battle but valuable loot for players who defeat them, including EXP Candies and rare Berries. Note that trainers can only capture one of each per save file. Walking Wake shows off its strength as a Water-Tera type, while Iron Leaves dominates with its Psychic-Tera abilities. With the bosses set at level 75, seasoned trainers with level 100 teams won’t find it too tough a challenge.
February 27 holds particular significance—it’s the date of Pokemon Day. As Pokemon Legends: Z-A is expected to launch later in the year, fans are also speculating about a new Pokemon Presents episode that might excite the community with news of this upcoming Switch title. Meanwhile, those playing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have until February 28 to use three codes for items like the Quick Ball. The Pokemon Company undoubtedly has intriguing surprises lined up with Pokemon Day almost here. So trainers, ready your teams and mark your calendars for this special occasion!
