An acclaimed PS5 action-adventure game has caught fans off guard with a surprise free update brimming with new content and enhancements. Control: Ultimate Edition has already rolled out its major March 2025 update for PC, with the updates for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S coming soon. Unfortunately, those playing on older generation consoles will miss out on this update.
This upcoming update is available to everyone who owns and plays Control: Ultimate Edition. It introduces a variety of cosmetics and gear that were once only available via pre-order, along with a mission that was exclusive to the PS4 digital deluxe edition. For those who enjoy PS Plus Extra and love diving into the new content, these additions will remain accessible as long as the game is part of the service’s catalog.
Here’s the scoop on what’s new in this PC version patch, with the promise from Remedy Entertainment that the console updates will echo these innovations, aside from a few PC-only features.

- Monitor resolutions are now accurately reflected in both screen resolution and rendering resolution options.
- Beyond 4K rendering resolution support is a new reality.

With these exciting updates, both newcomers and veteran players of Control: Ultimate Edition have much to look forward to as they delve back into its engaging world.
