Reflecting on Your Favorite Xbox One Memories

When people think about the Xbox One, it’s often remembered as a “failure” due to its rocky start. But that’s not the full picture! While the console’s launch left much to be desired, it soon bounced back with a strong lineup of fantastic games from both first-party and third-party developers. Plus, the Xbox One S and Xbox One X models brought some refreshing changes to the table.

And let’s not forget the exciting features that emerged during the Xbox One’s run. Over the years, Microsoft introduced ground-breaking innovations such as Game Pass and backward compatibility. Initially, the console lacked the ability to play older games, but now, more than 700 classic Xbox titles are accessible on the Xbox One. Plus, with Cloud Gaming, a library of Series X/S titles is also within reach!

This might seem a bit like a trip down memory lane – in fact, last year we touched on the “biggest turnaround in Xbox history” – but really, I want to celebrate the bright moments of an era that often gets a bad rap. Here at Pure Xbox, we hold the Xbox One generation in special regard, filled with unforgettable gaming memories we’ll always treasure.

With that said, we’re curious: Are you still using your Xbox One in 2024? Let’s look at some numbers from our poll. Out of 197 voters, 11% still use it as their primary console, while 14% have added a Series X|S to their gaming setup. On the other hand, 47% have moved on to the newer consoles entirely, and 15% never owned one in the first place.
