In the world of online gaming competitions, the “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Online Challenge: Winter Clash 2024” promises an exciting event for fans and players alike. Organized by Nintendo of Europe SE, based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, this competition will take place within the popular Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game on the Nintendo Switch platform.

Mark your calendars for Friday, December 6th, when the event will run between 18:00 and 20:00 CET (or 17:00 to 19:00 UK time). Excitingly, gamers from numerous countries across Europe, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, and the UK, can join in. It’s worth noting that unfortunately, players from more remote areas like the Azores and Svalbard might experience limitations in joining due to connectivity challenges.

To jump into the action, participants must have a Nintendo Account linked to a supported country and a Nintendo Switch Online membership, whether paid or through a free trial. Ensure your access to the game and open the main menu to head into the “Online” section. From there, selecting “Official Tourney Qualifiers” will get you started.

Earning a high Tourney score is the name of the game, and it’s determined by your performance against others. This score reflects your individual skill level, influenced by your match results and the prowess of your opponents. You have the liberty to engage in as many matches as you wish within the timeframe to boost your score, with any matches starting during the event period counting toward it, even if they finish afterward.

For those outshining competitors, there are enticing rewards. The top 10 scorers will each receive 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points, while those landing in the top 100 still win a respectable 1,000 points. However, be aware: Changing your account’s country setting to one outside of the approved list will lead to disqualification, as will any forms of cheating or exploiting bugs, in line with Nintendo’s Code of Conduct. Prizes are awarded strictly as is, with no cash alternatives or transfers allowed.

Winners will find their Gold Points deposited into their Nintendo Account within two weeks of the competition’s conclusion. You can easily confirm this by checking your My Nintendo Point Log once signed in.

The Nintendo Account Agreement, along with the Privacy Policy and My Nintendo Rewards Programme, will guide all prize deliveries and participation terms. So, gear up and brace yourself for thrilling battles, and may the best players reign supreme!
