In an impressive debut, the cooperative adventure game, Split Fiction, has sold over two million copies within its first week of release. Developer Hazelight shared their excitement on BlueSky, expressing gratitude and surprise at the overwhelming reception the game has received.
Launched on March 6th, Split Fiction quickly reached a sales milestone of one million copies in just two days. This achievement marks Hazelight’s fastest-selling title to date. For context, their prior hit, It Takes Two, needed about three weeks to reach one million sales and approximately three months to hit the two million mark.
On BlueSky, Hazelight couldn’t contain their amazement, exclaiming, “Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing.” They extended heartfelt thanks to both newcomers and their longstanding supporters, saying, “We love how excited you are for our game.”
Previously, when Split Fiction surpassed one million copies, the studio expressed their deep gratitude, stating, “The love you all show for our game is overwhelming. Everyone here at Hazelight is beyond happy, and we can’t stop enjoying your amazing reactions.”
