Today, let’s dive into Technikki’s Past, a side quest that you definitely don’t want to miss in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. This quest doesn’t become available until you’re quite far into the game; it was around the 25-hour mark when I managed to unlock it. Since it pops up so late, it does contain spoilers about which parts of the game you have to clear first. So, if you’re trying to stay spoiler-free, bookmark this page and return once you’ve made more progress.
Technikki’s Past Side Quest Guide
After your initial return from Offandon Island, your next job will be to reconnect Twistee Island and Heatfreeze Island. Once you’ve accomplished that, head over to Shipshape Island, where you’ll find Technikki. A chat with her will kick off the Technikki’s Past side quest. She’ll direct you to visit her lab at Merrygo Island. There’s a handy shortcut across the flowers that can help you avoid the maze, so take advantage of that. When you arrive, you’ll witness a scene unfold before being thrust into battle with Glohm-infested enemies. By now, you should have the new Bros. Moves, Clockout Blow, and the returning Yoo Who Cannon from Bowser’s Inside Story, making this the perfect chance to test them out. Once you’ve defeated your foes, pick up the note from Technikki’s door and bring it back to her to wrap up the quest. Your reward? A Technikki Wrench accessory, boosting your BP by 30% and your attack power by 10%, but keep in mind, it will lower your max HP by 20%.
