Naughty Dog has just dropped update 2.0.1 for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, and there’s a bit of a mixed bag here. Let’s start on a high note: the patch brings back unlockables that mysteriously vanished after the last update. However, the catch is that you’ll need an older save file to get them back.
Now, diving into the details of the patch notes for the PS5 version:
– This update brings back crucial campaign unlockables like extra weapon holsters and skill points, which were unfortunately wiped out if you continued using a save file made after Patch 2.0.0.
– To successfully recover your progress, you’ll want to use save files from before April 3, 2025, specifically before 10 am PT/1 pm ET. If you happen to use a save from after this cutoff and updated to patch 2.0.1 later, you might still face some issues with missing unlockables.
For those whose save files have unfortunately been overwritten, it looks like there’s no quick fix as of now.
Naughty Dog is also looking into reports about No Return skins that went missing before the 2.0.0 patch. They’re on it and are planning a solution in an upcoming update. If you’ve been affected, they’re encouraging players to get in touch with their support team.
We’ll be keeping an ear to the ground and will keep you updated as soon as the next hotfix is ready to roll out.
