Ubisoft, the renowned French publisher, has expressed disappointment over the premature leak of the eagerly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The situation isn’t ideal, they’ve noted.
Through a heartfelt message on the official Assassin’s Creed subreddit, Ubisoft urged those lucky enough to have snagged early copies to refrain from spoiling the adventure for the rest of the eager fans. Set for a March 20th release, a few savvy individuals have somehow acquired the game before its debut. Some folks, as noted in the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, even paid up to $100 through auction sites to gain early access.
Ubisoft stated, “We realize some players have entered the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows prematurely. Our team is still hard at work finalizing patches to enhance the launch-day experience, so any footage seen before this does not accurately reflect the game’s finished quality.”
The company highlighted that such leaks can dampen enthusiasm, urging, “Please don’t spoil it for others. We are grateful to our community for actively trying to shield others from spoilers.”
Their message continues with, “Embrace the shadows, dodge the spoilers, and stay tuned for our official updates in the lead-up to March 20! You’ll see more surprises soon.”
